As the Production Technician Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising personnel, researching data, providing recommendations and working directly with customers to provide support and resolve issues. We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and more.What you'll do on a typical day:Act as the first line of communication with customers and warehouse sites; advise customers of service failures and coordinate resolutionsAudit daily order processes; ensure all orders are sent to each siteMonitor and report all errors for performance trackingWork creatively with the Inventory Control team, Transportation department and warehouse sites on service resolutionsOversee service provider performance and engage providers for service improvementCommunicate order changes with warehouses and coordinate shipment schedulesMaintain all department ISO compliance documents and train all personnel within the department to the required standards, including the Director and Manager of the departmentTravel Requirements:Ability to travel up to 75% of the timeMust possess a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport to comply with federal travel regulationsFamiliarity and ability to comply with TSA security proceduresAbility to travel domestically via road, rail and air as required for the role and pursuant to Company travel and expense requirementsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need: 2 years of relevant work experienceExperience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in ExcelIt'd be great if you also have: Associate degree in Transportation or Business2 years of experience in customer service, distribution or logistics in a manufacturing environment2 years of experience in transportation and operationsAvailability to work extended hours as needed, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekendsCapacity to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audienceEffective organizational and leadership skills; able to use a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes or culturesAbility to perform complex analyses of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; experience producing unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
