Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid GAPSC Paraprofessional Certificate preferred, or eligibility to obtain
• Experience working with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Positive, patient, and adaptable attitude in classroom settings
• Passion for making a difference in students’ educational journeys

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional support and implementing lesson plans
• Foster a safe and positive learning atmosphere for all students
• Provide one-on-one or small group support, including helping students stay on task and understand assignments
• Adapt materials and strategies under teacher direction to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Collaborate closely with educators and specialists to reinforce behavioral and academic goals
• Supervise students in various settings, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the school day
