What has been a "sleepy" industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.About the RoleAs a Deployment Engineer at Mytra, you will join our Customer Operations team during a period of high growth. Mytra is moving from prototype builds to repeatable customer deployments, and we need a hands-on field operator who can execute commissioning work with discipline, document objective evidence, and escalate issues before they become customer-impacting misses.The Deployment Engineer owns defined commissioning work packages such as infrastructure preflight, safety bring-up support, robot integration checks, and construction QC. This role is also a key quality control owner in the field: verifying that construction and installation work meets Mytra standards before commissioning begins, documenting objective evidence, and catching deviations early enough to protect schedule, safety, and customer readiness.Working collaboratively with the Senior Deployment Engineer, who provides day-to-day field direction, you will execute against the commissioning gates and quality standards defined by the Deployment Lead and enforced by the site team from Pre-Construction planning to construction activities and quality checks through commissioning and SAT handoff.Customer interaction is regular and on-site. You'll be at the customer facility and expected to represent Mytra professionally, answer questions as needed, and communicate clearly in the moment. Day-to-day, your primary working interfaces are trade contractors and the site team; what matters most is execution discipline, artifact quality, and fast, clear escalation when something is off.This role is built to deepen, not to pivot. As you demonstrate execution discipline, artifact quality, and field judgment, you'll take ownership of a full commissioning subsystem — infrastructure readiness, safety bring-up, robot integration, or ops station readiness — and in time for site outcomes end to end. The people who do well here want to become the most capable operator in the building and become a mentor to junior techs.This is a field implementation role. You'll be the person who makes our system work in a customer's facility, on schedule, with the evidence to prove it. You'll also be the first point of field feedback to the development teams.Location: SF Bay Area preferred.Travel: primarily to our Bay Area HQ through the end of this year (75%), moving to approximately 75% travel to customer sites across the US once deployments begin next year.What You'll Do:Execute commissioning readiness work packages, including network/compute preflight, ops station bring-up, robot integration checks, and safety prerequisite validationProduce construction QC evidence before commissioning starts, including photos, measurements, inspection checklists, and documented as-built deltasDeliver high-quality deployment artifacts for closeout and sustainment handoff, including commissioning readiness records, SAT evidence, installed-base manifests, and open-issue trackersEscalate issues with clear context: root cause hypothesis, objective evidence, affected work streams, and recommended next actions. See solutions through resolution.Surface issues early, contain them when within scope, and follow through with the Senior Deployment Engineer until resolutionWhat We Are Looking ForMust Have:Onsite deployment or commissioning experience in industrial, warehouse, automation, robotics, or similar environments, including live construction sites.Hands-on electro-mechanical hardware experience: wiring, connectors, electrical troubleshooting, working around powered equipmentExecutes with discipline from defined work packages: follows checklists precisely, documents evidence completely, and holds quality standards under schedule pressureDemonstrated safety discipline in live build environments; can identify and respect hazards in partially energized systemsClear cross-functional communication: flags blockers concisely, escalates with context, and closes the loop across contractors and the site teamNice To Have:Network/IT infrastructure basics: DHCP, Wi-Fi, compute bring-upSafety systems familiarity: machine guarding, E-stop circuitsIndustrial controls and electrical panel assemblyAbility to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and construction blueprints; comfort with metric/imperial tolerancesFamiliarity with forklift certification and comfort around heavy equipmentSpanish/English bilingual communication skillsA Final Note:If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don't check every box.
