Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a hospital environment. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in labor and during postpartum, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position requires delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while coordinating closely with the multidisciplinary team to support optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice; BLS certification; experience in the Labor and Delivery department or similar acute care setting within the past 12 months; at least 1 year of clinical experience in labor and delivery or related specialty
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; professional certification related to childbirth or maternal health; additional education or experience in maternal-newborn nursing
• Additional Information: This role involves performing all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. The RN will assess maternal and fetal health, monitor labor progress, administer medications, provide patient education, and assist with deliveries. Collaboration with physicians, neonatal staff, and other healthcare providers is essential. The RN must respond promptly to changing patient conditions, document all care accurately, and supports the facilitys quality improvement initiatives.
