About this Role The Renewable Energy Analyst at Advantage Capital Management will engage in comprehensive financial analysis and forecasting within the renewable energy sector. This role requires evaluating potential investments in different energy asset classes and supply chains, aiming for high-impact outcomes coupled with financial returns. The position involves interaction with management and conducting rigorous on-site due diligence across various locations in the U.S. As part of the investment process, the analyst will support the due diligence workflow, underwriting, and transaction closure for various financial instruments. Moreover, this role encompasses the creation of financial models and the preparation of investment presentations for internal approvals. By representing Advantage Capital in front of institutional investors, the analyst will embody the company’s mission of investment impact. Collaborating with legislative and compliance teams, the role emphasizes capturing the investment impact, particularly in job data and other relevant metrics, critical to sustainable economic development. Responsibilities Evaluate potential equity investments in various energy asset classes and supply chains that offer measurable impacts alongside financial returns. Meet with management teams and conduct on-site due diligence, requiring travel within the United States. Support due diligence processes, underwriting, and transaction closings, including partnership flips and transferable credits. Prepare financial models and investment presentations for internal committee approvals. Monitor portfolio companies and conduct value-added activities, such as quarterly reviews and funding support. Represent Advantage Capital in negotiations and discussions with institutional investors and counterparties. Learn and apply program structures relevant to energy tax credits and economic development programs. Collaborate with legislative and compliance teams to capture investment impacts and job data. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong experience in financial analysis and modeling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
