This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP IBP Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions, ensuring they can handle high-volume, exception-driven parts planning scenarios. The consultant will act as a thought leader and change agent, bridging gaps between IBP capabilities and business requirements, and delivering scalable, high-performance planning solutions aligned to enterprise priorities.Key Responsibilities1. IBP Solution Architecture & ImplementationOwn technical architecture and design for: SAP IBP (Demand, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization); Integration tools (CPI-DS, SDI, RTI)Configure and enhance IBP modules to support: High-volume transaction processing (POs, order lines); Exception-driven planning workflowsEnsure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and SAP roadmap2. Requirements Analysis & Gap ResolutionLead deep-dive sessions on business requirementsEvaluate: What IBP can deliver via standard configuration; Where gaps exist vs. business expectationsProvide clear recommendations: Configuration solutions; Enhancements / workarounds; Alternate approaches where IBP limitations exist3. Exception-Based Planning & Performance OptimizationDesign solutions to support: Mass exception handling (shortages, excess, supply constraints); Fast processing of large volumes of POs and planning dataImprove system responsiveness to meet business expectations for speed, throughput, and scalability4. Business Engagement & PrioritizationCollaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT teamsTranslate business pain points into actionable IBP solutionsDefine and manage a prioritized roadmap aligned to: PDC enablement; ERP rollout phases; Post-go-live enhancements5. Data & Planning Model DesignDefine and optimize: Planning areas, key figures, and master data modelsSupport data readiness including: Data cleansing, transformation, and harmonizationEnsure alignment with ERP data structures and analytics platforms6. Integration & End-to-End FlowSupport integration between: SAP IBP; SAP ECC; External systems (data lake, reporting tools)Ensure seamless planning flow across: Demand ? Supply ? Execution7. PDC & ERP Transformation SupportAlign IBP design with PDC blueprinting and rollout strategyIdentify: What can be delivered during blueprint; What will be delivered post-PDCSupport phased implementation and delivery8. Delivery, Testing & Continuous ImprovementLead/support full lifecycle: Design ? Build ? Test ? Deploy ? HypercareSupport UAT, validation, and performance testingDrive continuous improvement of IBP solutions and planning processes9.
