Job Description
The Hopper Bottom Truck Driver will independently handle day trip routes primarily within a local travel range. This role is responsible for safely operating the vehicle, ensuring cargo is handled properly, and maintaining accurate log documentation. The driver will perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to support dependable delivery schedules.
Average 60 hours a week
Weekend hours available
Truck parking is in Jefferson, WI. If you are able to provide safe and secure parking closer to home then semi can be parked there instead of Jefferson location.
Responsibilities
- Operate semi truck safely and efficiently on local day trip routes
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Navigate routes and plan trips to ensure timely delivery
- Handle cargo with care to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 year CDL license
- Pre and Post Check Inspections
- High school diploma or GED
- Skills in commercial driving and route planning
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
