Chelsea Piers is looking for motivated, proactive, and experienced individuals to join our dedicated operations team. Our goal is to deliver consistently safe, positive, and engaging experiences.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Housekeeping Associate, you will have the responsibility of ensuring that our facility meets our high standards of cleanliness. At Chelsea Piers, we are dedicated to maintaining clean and safe spaces. Your attention to detail, cleanliness, & safety is key to upholding our commitment to our customers.Ensure that the public spaces + locker rooms are clean and well maintained while providing excellent customer service to all members and guestsComplete housekeeping tasks such as cleaning widows, dusting, moping, sweeping, garbage removal, polish stainless steel, etc.Ensure clean folded towels are available at all times around the facility and in locker roomsMaintain a clean locker room including showers, toilets, sinks, steam room, sauna, lockers, and vanity areasRegularly stock housekeeping supplies and help keep well organized storage areasOperate and have full understanding of various chemicals and personal protective equipmentAssist with event and party set-up and break-down, including setting up tables, chairs and events equipmentEnsure that the sidewalk entrance, stairwells, elevators, and lobby are presentable at all timesNotify management team when any rooms or equipment need immediate attentionFollows safety standards and practices at all timesMust possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environmentStrong customer service, organization, communication, and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of timeMaintain a neat appearance and have good hygieneGood "people skills" and a “team player” attitudeMust be willing to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and possible overtimeNon-allergenic to chemicals or dustMust be able to lift up to 40-50 poundsAbility to climb 4’, 6’, and 8’ laddersDetail-oriented, punctual, friendly, and motivatedPreferencesPrior housekeeping or janitorial experiencePrior experience in a fitness/sports facilityComfortable being in a locker room environmentBilingual (English and Spanish) a plusOSHA 10 CertifiedPart-time work availableThis position is based at Chelsea Piers in New York, New YorkChelsea Piers is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Field House Brooklyn
