Benefits Tip Sharing Employee discounts Training & development Cashier Reports to: General Manager Summary of Position Process all cash transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for all paperwork and duties assigned by restaurant and company office in regards to payroll and financial reporting that complies with all local, state and federal guidelines. Duties & Responsibilities Cash handling, safe counts and daily cash deposits Greet customers as needed when entering or leaving the restaurant Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications and guidelines Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. Daily reporting of financial information through the restaurant accounting system. Biweekly payroll duties to include preparing reports for payroll company, reviewing paychecks and distribution to employees Maintain accurate level of office supplies through ordering and inventory controls Organization of office so that all legal documents are kept in accordance with laws Maintain current permits and licenses. Report to Sprout Office when permits & licenses are due Verify New hire Paperwork is complete before submitting to the office Maintain and keep current electronic files set up on Sprout Server Required documents are stored and archived according to company guidelines and laws Answering phones during non-service hours Booking special events for the restaurant and making sales referrals Resolving customer complaints and providing relevant information Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area. Possess excellent basic math and computer skills. Efficient in Microsoft Office Attention to detail and accuracy Customer satisfaction-oriented and sales skills Working Conditions and Expectations Work schedule may require weekends and holidays, morning and evenings. Shifts will range from 6 – 8 Office work that may require long periods of working alone Work schedule will range from 35-40 Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners and staff. Demonstrate teamwork with the management and office staff Work with a positive attitude in all types of situations Strong, positive and respectful communication skills Follow safety and sanitation rules and laws at all times Always act in the best interest of the restaurant, fellow employees and guests. Create and maintain a positive, safe and productive working environment Physical Requirements Be able to sit for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 10 pounds. Extensive computer work that will require typing for long periods of time.
