Shipping And Receiving Associate
We are seeking an experienced Shipping And Receiving Associate to support a busy electrical manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX. This position is responsible for accurately receiving materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare products and equipment for shipment.
- Generate and review shipping documents, packing lists, labels, and bills of lading.
- Enter receipts, shipments, and inventory transactions into Oracle NetSuite.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material-location records.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and transportation teams.
- Package, palletize, label, and stage materials for shipment.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience required.
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite or a similar ERP/WMS system strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to lift, move, and stage materials safely.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime when required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
