Mammography Technologist

This position offers a 4x10 work schedule, from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures to assist radiologists in diagnosing and treating medical disorders. The Mammographer is responsible for providing direct patient care, ensuring quality and safety initiatives, and adhering to local and federal regulations. This role also involves assisting with complex and sensitive patient and family issues, ensuring the delivery of quality care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized mammographic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide direct patient care and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives within the facility.
• Adhere to local and federal regulations regarding radiographic procedures.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain licensure and skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current license as a Mammographer or Radiologic Technologist.
• Certification by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography.
• Completion of Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
• Mandatory drug screening, color-blind test, and immunizations including COVID-19 Vaccine and others as specified.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
