Occupational Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' levels of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in the application of therapy techniques.
• Complete documentation according to departmental policy and procedures, including progress notes and discharge plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, showing a customer service attitude at all times.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and ensure patient and employee safety in all activities.
• Demonstrate good safety techniques regarding patients, self, others, and equipment.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling and cooperate in resolving conflicts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
