Contract | 16 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12, 19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Room setting for patients ranging from newborn through geriatric ages
• Manage a consistent patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of 1:5 with lower acuity patients
• Assess and treat common diagnoses including respiratory conditions, COPD, CHF, diabetes, MI, abdominal pain, and geriatric-related illnesses
• Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty, including to other affiliated ED locations, as required
• Adhere to scheduled shifts including every other weekend and holidays as they fall

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Current NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Current CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
• Proficiency and competency in managing emergency patient ratios consistently and independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
• TNCC certification
