Registered Nurse - Oncology

Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit. Up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus is available and relocation is available. Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week. Work shift: Third (Nights). Location & Shift Norfolk, VA – Third shift (Nights), full time (36 hours per week). Responsibilities The RN will provide competent nursing care using the nursing process, assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring physical conditions, prescribing and administering medication, chemotherapy, and other treatments for oncology patients in a 36‑bed Intermediate Care Unit. Education & Certification Education: Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred). Students in process of completing an accredited nursing program. Licensure: Registered Nursing License (required). Students in process of obtaining license. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Certification: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Experience No prior experience required.
