Accounts Payable SpecialistMotivated Accounts Payable Specialist needed to help support the Accounting and Finance team at Synagro. This position will help oversee the company's financial obligations by processing invoices, executing payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end close requirements.Essential Functions:Receive, review & process vendor invoices and check requestsPerform three-way matching to ensure complianceEnter and upload invoices into companies ERP system (NetSuite)Distribute invoices to responsible local offices for review and submissionEnsure that all invoices are processed by the close deadline in the monthly close scheduleReview vendor statements, respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepanciesMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, ensuring audit-ready recordsPrepare and execute payment runsProcessing of daily treasury filesRequired Skills/Abilities:Full life cycle Accounts Payable experience is a must - volume up to 1200 invoices per month.Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.Self-starter with strong organizational, communication and time management skills.Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation and research skills.Thorough knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of account and month-end close procedures.Efficient in MS Office, with emphasis on MS Excel.Qualifications:College level accounting classes or Accounting Bachelor's Degree (preferred)1-3 years of previous related accounts payable experienceProficiency with ERP Systems, NetSuite working knowledge preferredStrong Microsoft Excel skills and accurate data entry abilitiesSalary Range: $28.00-$35.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position.
