Purpose: Performs mechanic and hydraulic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced mechanic and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
• Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
• Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.
• Builds hydraulic piping and installs accessories.
• Disassembles and assembles complex mechanical components.
• Performs optical equipment alignments.
• Verifies and ensures the availability of resources and spare parts needed for the execution of programmed tasks.
• Interprets technical drawing.
• Operates welding equipment.
• Executes machine lock outs and tag outs.
• Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
• Cooperates with the Base Group in preventive activities.
• Interacts with other areas.
• Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
• Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
