The Occupational Health Nurse is a licensed health care professional responsible for developing, interpreting, and administering employee health and wellness services and organizational safety programs. Develops policies and procedures for employee health services that are compatible with corporate goals and objectives. Coordinates the worker’s compensation and health/wellness programs. Strategic role in site safety programs. Leads ADA/Job Accommodation process. Promotes health maintenance, prevention of illness and injury, and provides consultative guidance on occupational health issues. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Supervision: This position does not supervise any associates at any level Required : Associates degree – Nursing, Registered Nurse, licensed in Nebraska Preferred : BA/BS Degree – Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) Minimum Experience : Registered Nurse required 1-3 years’ experience providing nursing treatment, prefer in an occupational setting At BD, we prioritize on‑site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem‑solving, which are essential in the fast‑paced healthcare industry.
