We are recruiting a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner at the faculty rank of Teaching Associate to join our orthopaedic oncology service. The PA/NP will partner with our orthopaedic surgeons on the orthopaedic oncology service at the University of Washington Medical Center and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Our advanced practice providers (APPs) work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that in addition to orthopaedic surgery includes medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology including trainees, other advanced practice providers and nurses. Our APPs provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in an inpatient, outpatient and operative setting. The successful candidate will have had operative experience during their training or during their clinical practice. Experience specifically in orthopaedics is preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30).Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position hasa flexible start date in the winter or spring of 2027. Salary: The base salary range for this position will be: $10,500 - $14,850 per month ($126,000-178,200 annually) commensurate with qualifications and years of experience as a physician assistant, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. 1. Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License or ARNP license.
2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA or ARNP program. Nationally certified PA-C and ARNP with DEA.
3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
