Job Description At a glance: Role: Full-time Medical Sales Representative (Outside Sales) Start date: June 2026 Territory: Los Angeles County, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, San Diego. Base salary: $70,000–$90,000 (depending on experience) Performance bonus: Uncapped, activity-based Year 1 realistic total compensation: $130,000+ Travel: Field-based; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate The opportunity: You will build referral relationships across four provider types in your territory: general dentists, orthodontists, TMJ specialists, and ENT physicians. The expectation is 7 to 10 office visits per day, with meaningful conversations with physicians and referral coordinators at every stop. We will co-develop your 4-week routing plan together. This is a structured field role, not a free-for-all. You will inherit a starter book of referring orthodontists and have wide-open runway to build the rest. Top performers structure their week to maximize density: LA-focused weeks plus periodic San Diego, Bakersfield, and Santa Barbara swing weeks. Who we’re looking for: We’re hiring for hunger, hustle, and raw sales talent first. A clinical resume is a nice-to-have, not a requirement. We’ve especially loved talking to candidates from these backgrounds: Enterprise Rent-A-Car management trainees and alumni Copier and office equipment sales reps (Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, Sharp, Konica Minolta) Proven B2B outside sales reps from any industry with a track record of hitting quota Early-career candidates who are hungry, coachable, and have shown they can sell You should bring evidence you can sell (quotas hit, top-rep awards, presidents’ club, or a clear story of outperforming peers), strong written and verbal communication, CRM discipline, comfort using AI tools to research accounts, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to spend 4+ days a week on the road. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. You don’t need a medical or dental background. We’ll train you on the procedures, the referring-provider landscape, and the LACOMS approach in the field.
