This assignment covers a maternity leave from September 14th through November 30th, with daily engagement at an elementary campus and a student caseload of 50-60. Candidates who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellows seeking meaningful school experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid license to practice as an SLP in Louisiana (or eligibility in progress)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; open to Clinical Fellows (CF)
• School-based or pediatric speech therapy experience a plus
• Strong understanding of IEP process, compliance, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Comfortable working exclusively on-site

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct intervention services for students with speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in team meetings
• Deliver engaging speech and language lessons to foster students’ academic and personal growth
• Adopt creative strategies that support varied learning styles and diverse populations
