Job Title: Caregiver Location: Abilene Job Type: PRN/Part-time We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities. Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises, ensuring safety and comfort. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients’ health status. Help with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors and family members. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to coordinate care plans and improve client outcomes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving, nursing, or related fields preferred. Prior experience in caregiving, health care, or a related field is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families. Patient, empathetic, and understanding attitude towards clients' needs. Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required for the position). Physical Requirements Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed.
