Job Description - FY27: Teacher, CTE Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management, Damascus HS, 1.0 FTE (26004GF) Salary range: $66,690 - $135,745 based on education and experience. Benefits information: Summary Description: Under the direction of the school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Supervises students in various settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes. Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and community. Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials. Maintains records and follows required procedures and practices. Monitors appropriate use of equipment, materials, and facilities. Physical demands: As required by the duties of the job. Special requirements: Attend school meetings, programs, and activities outside instructional day as mandated by MCEA contract. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, MCPS policies, and effective instructional practices. Understanding of the teaching/learning process. Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education. Ability to infuse technology into curriculum. Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school‑based staff, students, parents, and community. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills. Education, Training & Experience Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university required. Secondary school diploma with at least five years of full‑time industry experience in the discipline within the last 10 years, or a bachelor's degree in education with demonstrated industry experience is required.
