Locums OB/GYN - Outpatient Only Location: Irvine, California Availability
- Start Date: ASAP once credentialed
- Contract Length: Through August/September
- Possible extension
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch (8:00-12:00 / 1:00-5:00)
- Call: None (outpatient only)
- Outpatient only
- Average 18-21 patients per day
- Typical visit lengths:
- 15 minutes for follow-ups
- 30 minutes for new patients and procedures
- Patient population: Adolescents (13+) through geriatrics
- EMR: Epic (highly preferred)
- Confirmation of pregnancy (>7 weeks) with bedside ultrasound
- Initial and routine OB visits
- Postpartum care and incision checks
- Well-woman exams (all ages)
- Problem-focused visits (UTI, STI, menopause, HRT, breast pain)
- IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal
- Biopsies
- Incision and drainage of cysts
- LEEP, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy
- Cryotherapy
- Cervical polyp removal
- Board Certified OB/GYN (required)
- Unrestricted California medical license (required)
- DEA (required)
- BLS or ACLS (required)
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited 4-year OB/GYN residency
- Outpatient-only role with strong procedural component
- Ideal for candidates comfortable with in-office procedures
