Location: Gastonia, NC — On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $21.00–$27.00 per hour (full-time)

About the Role
McIlveen is hiring an Intake Specialist to be the friendly, professional first point of contact for prospective clients. This is a consultative inside sales role focused on inbound calls— no cold calling. You’ll handle incoming inquiries, qualify prospects, document details in our CRM, and schedule next steps. Outbound calls are limited to returning missed calls and following up with interested prospects.
What You’ll Do
- Answer and manage all inbound calls from prospective clients with empathy, urgency, and professionalism.
- Ask discovery questions, qualify leads , and match needs to our services.
- Schedule consultations/appointments and set clear expectations for next steps.
- Make limited outbound calls to return missed calls and follow up with active prospects—no cold calling.
- Accurately capture notes and keep the CRM updated in real time.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff and great client experience.
- Meet or exceed goals related to response time, appointment set rate, and documentation quality.
What You’ll Bring
- 1+ year of experience in inside sales , intake , call center , or customer service (professional services experience a plus).
- Stellar phone presence, active listening, and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Comfort working from a script/playbook while personalizing the conversation.
- Strong written skills for clear notes and follow-up emails/texts.
- Proficiency with CRMs and everyday office tech (training provided on our systems).
- Reliability and punctuality for an on-site schedule in Gastonia, NC.
Pay, Schedule & Work Location
- Pay: $21.00–$27.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (no evenings or weekends)
- Type: Full-time, in-person
- Location: Gastonia, NC (reliable commute required)
