Z Dock Lead

Job Summary This role is responsible for leading, motivating, training and supporting a team of Warehouse Associates in a specific or overall area of the warehouse. The lead ensures that the Z‑Dock and the Warehouse Associates perform efficiently, protects warehouse contents against loss, and oversees security and RDC procedures. Key Responsibilities Schedule work for the assigned team and area. Create work documents for picking, moving and shipping merchandise. Maintain records and assignment lists of tasks performed to minimize down‑time and create accountability metrics. Reconcile completed work for administrative completeness and process final documents. Keep records of work performed vs. time to generate comparative metrics. Maintain constant dock presence, inspect work in progress, and evaluate team performance. Perform tasks across the warehouse, including unloading, loading, deluxing and minor furniture repair as needed. Secure key access and oversee building security as required. Train new staff and provide additional coaching to improve productivity. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED with 0‑2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent. Forklift Operator Certification. Willingness to travel as required (none stated). Preferred Requirements Leadership experience at any level. Proficiency with RMS and furniture repair and delivery. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Physical Demands / Work Environment Nearly continuous standing, balancing, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50lbs. Requires repetitive hand motion, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, crawling, and operating industrial equipment.
