The site uses conventional open-pit mining, cyanide heap leaching, and Merrill-Crowe processing to recover gold and silver from crushed and agglomerated ore. You enjoy working with a team to meet department and company goals.As an Equipment Operator, you will report directly to the Mine Operations Supervisor. This is a safety-sensitive position.What You Do:Perform pre-shift, and pre-operation, safety analysis of all the mining equipment at the site;Operate various mining equipment at the project site performing earth moving and road watering duties as needed, such as:Komatsu Mining FleetHaul Trucks (100-Ton Capacity)Front End Loaders (6-yard bucket)Shovels (19-yard bucket)Operate all equipment in a safe manner;Perform minor maintenance checks on equipment such as fluid levels and belt quality;At various times will be required to help with some manual labor functions to help maintain the site, i.e. shoveling dirt, fence mending, small rock movements;Become knowledgeable of all MSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations related to equipment and road maintenance andMaintain equipment maintenance and operations records.Additional duties as assigned.What You Bring:A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience operating large mining-related equipment;An effective communicator;Self-starter needing minimal oversight and direction;Able to read and fully understand all equipment handbooks and guidelinesAble to analyze equipment gauges and warnings as neededAdhere to safety policies and standards.
