Job Title

Registered Nurse – Hematology (Non-Malignant) Outpatient Clinic

Location

Charlotte, NC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) | No call, no float, no weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform comprehensive patient assessments within an outpatient classical hematology clinic serving an adult, non-malignant hematology population
• Perform phlebotomy and provide central line access and care
• Assist with bone marrow biopsies, administer vaccinations, and perform EKGs
• Conduct phone triage, provide patient education, and manage patient phone calls
• Facilitate appropriate scheduling of patients for infusions and support case management activities
• Document and chart using EPIC (acute activation access required)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; acute oncology or hematology experience will be considered
• Phlebotomy skills are required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency or ability to work within EPIC electronic health records system
• Must provide own stethoscope

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior outpatient oncology or hematology clinic experience strongly preferred
• Certifications such as ONS, BMTCN, or OCN are a plus
• Familiarity with non-malignant hematology diagnoses including bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell disease, and DVTs
