Position Summary

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Nephrology, are actively seeking a full‑time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator).

Responsibilities

The candidate will participate in resident, medical student, and fellow teaching activities, and engage in ongoing clinical research projects. Basic and clinical research opportunities are available within the Division and Hospital. Up to 25% protected time for clinical or basic research can be negotiated for individuals interested in a clinical investigator career.

Qualifications

• Medical license in California and certification or active candidate status in the Sub‑Board of Pediatric Nephrology.

The Nephrology Division serves a 370‑bed tertiary care children’s hospital, caring for an average of 55‑60 chronic dialysis patients, 120 post‑transplant patients, 100 chronic renal insufficiency patients, and over 1,000 new referrals per year, including 25‑30 renal transplants annually.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904–$325,712. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
