JOB TITLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - 2 Positions

Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of students and the district, maintaining alignment with Chimacum's educational mission.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Washington State Special Education Endorsement and Elementary Teaching Certificate.
- Successful experience working with students with diverse learning needs in inclusive settings.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, colleagues, and
- support staff.
- Knowledge of and commitment to best practices in special education, including differentiated instruction
- and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to create and implement individualized Education Plans (lEPs).
- Skill in classroom management and the ability to support students' behavioral and academic growth.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, and the ability to apply this to instruction.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to engage with families and the community.
- Commitment to collaboration and continuous professional growth
- Knowledge and experience with technology integration in education is preferred.
