Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Pastor who is warm, approachable, and comfortable ministering to all age groups. This leader will guide our church through a pivotal period of change, providing spiritual leadership and vision while fostering a sense of unity and purpose within our congregation. Key Responsibilities Preach and teach with clarity and inspiration, delivering sermons that resonate with a diverse audience. Provide pastoral care and support to congregation members, including counseling and outreach. Facilitate worship services, rituals, and special events that reflect our church’s mission and values. Lead church programs and initiatives that promote community engagement and spiritual growth. Collaborate with church leaders and committees to ensure effective governance and strategic planning. Foster an inclusive environment that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and ages. Encourage and mentor church staff and volunteers, nurturing their personal and spiritual development. Promote outreach efforts that extend our mission beyond the church walls into the community. Required Skills and Qualifications Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree from an accredited institution. Ordained minister in good standing within the United Church of Christ or a comparable denomination. Proven experience in pastoral leadership, preaching, and community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals of all ages. Demonstrated ability to lead through change while respecting and honoring church traditions. Passion for service, outreach, and building a welcoming community. Preferred Skills Experience with church administration and governance. Familiarity with contemporary worship styles and technology. Skills in conflict resolution and team building.
