Job Location: Pettis County, Sedalia, MO 65301 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $68,328.00 Job Shift: Day Job Category: Management Assistant Director of Community Living Location: Sedalia, MO Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Community Living (ADP) supports the Center for Human Services mission by collaborating with the Director to plan, lead, direct, coordinate, develop, and grow Individualized Supported Living (ISL) programs and other residential services within an assigned geographical area, ensuring successful delivery of services to individuals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise departmental operations by supporting Professional Managers (PMs) and their subordinate teams in training, mentoring, time and attendance, discipline, performance evaluation, and professional development; participate in an on‑call rotation; fill PM duties during vacancies; encourage and empower PMs; monitor compliance documentation and reporting; disseminate information; promote positivity, effective communication, and workplace inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. Support individuals in reaching their goals by leading, supporting, and mentoring PMs; train staff; assess program practices; model and encourage Tiered Supports and Missouri Quality Outcomes; utilize technologies; liaise with external agencies; solve problems; make decisions involving guardians, individuals, and staff. Advance quality of services by developing and leading quality improvement initiatives; conduct audits; collaborate with local and non‑local review teams; develop PMs; assist in program development and operational management of CL programs under the Director’s supervision. Contribute to department strength by maintaining knowledge of laws and regulations; ensure departmental goals are met; incorporate CARF, Medicaid Waiver, DMH, and HCBS regulations; assist with workforce planning; develop expertise; support training initiatives; implement best‑practice operations. Support strategic operational initiatives by supervising and monitoring implementation; equip staff with tools, knowledge, and skills; demonstrate stable and effective leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) plus five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and experience equal to nine years. Managerial and supervisory experience in a professional environment required. Experience working in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities required. Experience working with non‑profit organizations preferred. Required Miscellaneous Qualifications Valid driver’s license. Reliable, licensed, and insured vehicle. Must have reliable form of communication.
