Transmission Line Engineer

Senior Transmission Line Engineer / Engineering ManagerA leading U.S. engineering firm is seeking several full-time senior-level transmission line engineers (7-8 years minimum experience) to lead complex overhead transmission projects for utility customers and mentor engineering teams. This role is heavily focused on structural design and offers strong compensation and long-term growth.Should be located near one of these sites:Tualatin, OR, Irvine, CA, Houston, TX, Overland Park, KS, Denver, CO, Bloomington, MN, Ann Arbor, MI, Raleigh, NC, Orlando, FLTechnical Focus ~90% structural engineering (foundations, framing, materials)Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structuresLattice tower experience is a plusEPC and/or utility services experience preferredKey Responsibilities:Lead engineering execution for large or multi-project transmission programsPrepare and review complex engineering deliverables and calculationsManage budgets, schedules, and quality across disciplinesLead and mentor engineering teams; provide PLS-CADD trainingServe as technical lead and responsible charge on projectsInterface with clients and support pursuit/business development effortsPreferred Experience:BS in Civil or Structural EngineeringU.S. investor-owned utility transmission projectsStrong understanding of PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading, and foundation designExperience coordinating with procurement, permitting, land, and construction teamsProposal support and engineering cost estimating experience
