Kettle Operator (similar to spice blender)
Pay: $18/hr After conversion, goes to $18.50/hr
Hot environment. Dealing with ingredients, measuring, Must have math and multiplication skills.
Shift: 6:30am -3pm Monday - Friday
Location: 3900 East Monument Street Baltimore MD 21205
Parking: Street for Day 1 and Interview. Once hired, parking is covered. Back parking lot/Street.
Background: Criminal/Drug including Marijuana. Also you do not want to be a smoker. Can not smoke on property and leave to smoke due to odor on clothing-- Food preparation.
Process: In-person interview, background/Drug screen must be complete before interview. Candidate must take Goetze's Candidate Survey; answers have to meet their requirements before initial interview /review GMP. BKG/DS MUST BE INITIATED BEFORE SUB CANDIDATE TO CLIENT.
Profile: Needs to be able to talk about companies on resume, Must be able to lift up 50 lbs alone; 100lbs for team lift. Lift above the shoulders as well. Time management skills are a must! Reasons for leaving job, tenure, must have good communication skills, team-player, long periods of standing, team lift environment-- up to 75lbs and time management skills. (6 rounds of candy a day, steps away while cooking, work on something else,the return to workstation so it doesn't burn)

Temp to Hire

Pay $18/per hour

Hours: 6:30AM - 3:30PM Monday -Friday ; occasional Saturdays 6am-Noon.

Location: Baltimore City (East Baltimore/Monument St)

Background/drug screen required

Principle Duties / Responsibilities:

* Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure that the kettles are prepared and ready for cooking.

* Properly inspect ingredients then add to the kettles following established methods and formulas.

* Effectively manage your time to ensure efficient kettle operation for effective production flow throughout the entire shift. * Monitor the quality of the product created through visual inspection of the product, and effective operation and monitoring of the kettles and various measuring devices throughout the production process.

* Fill the batch pans with cooked candy from the kettles and store the pans on designated racks.

* Must be able to measure ingredients using liquid measurements, dry measurements, weights, and counting.

* Input and read data from a computer screen to create candy.

* Must be able to read an analog clock for time tracking of product created.

* Clean any overflow from pans.

* Ensure cleanliness of your machine and work area throughout the day to reduce downtime of the machine.

* Clean machines and workstation properly at the end of each shift. * Must ensure personal cleanliness of hands and body prior to handling raw ingredients and food products.

* Must be able to work individually, as a team, and with a dedicated partner.

* Adhere to company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF and safe food procedures.

* Write production records legibly, accurately, and completely.

* Communicate with other employees and management respectfully to complete work tasks.

* Ability to work additional hours if needed.

* Other tasks or duties as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications:

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Must be able to individually lift up to 50lbs.

* Must be able to lift with a partner up to 100lbs.

* Must be able to push, pull, and transport racks and carts on wheels of up to 2700 lbs. with another person.

* Must be able to lift product to 1ft ground height, to overhead above the shoulders-a height of 5.5ft.

* Ability to constantly stand/walk throughout the entire work shift.

* Ability to walk, bend, squat, reach, twist, and climb stairs regularly throughout an 8-hour shift.

* Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls.

* Must have visual acuity to see the machine from a close range and distance, and to read the programming screens and production records.

* Ability to handle ingredients: Allergens- Milk, Soy, Wheat.

* Must be able to wear required PPE- hearing protection, aprons, safety glasses, gloves, hairnets.

* Must be able to wear safety toe shoes due to the carts with rolling wheels.

Maintain a safety-first mentality in order to work in the plant.

* Maintain a neat, clean, and presentable appearance including clean uniforms.

* Must be able to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and SQF regulatory program requirements.
