Student Services Specialist Fort Leavenworth

Position Overview Barton Community College, Fort Leavenworth Campus, seeks applicants for a full-time, replacement Student Services Specialist. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Associates in Business Technology or related field preferred. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff; work with students of diverse ages and backgrounds. Ability to operate independently/multitask; problem solving is a must. Experienced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact with all students entering the Fort Leavenworth office. Assist students/potential students with information about programs/degrees offered and general information about the college and classes. Assist with all office duties including processing student enrollment and transcripts. Work with multiple operating systems to assist students and staff. Answer the phone and e-mail, and perform other traditional office duties. (Military Knowledge preferred). Require willingness to travel to Fort Riley to pick up supplies or attend training, make weekly trips to the post office, and conduct other Barton-related business as needed.
