Camp Counselor

Overview PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Ready to be a summer superstar? As a Summer Day Camp Counselor, you'll supervise campers, lead exciting activities, and bring energy to every moment. Under the guidance of the Camp Director and Assistant Directors, you'll keep things fun, safe, and memorable while actively participating in games, outdoor adventures, and skill-building sessions. Responsibilities Be a leader and role model for campers. Create and implement daily and weekly lesson plans filled with fun and creativity. Teach indoor and outdoor skills, ensuring campers stay engaged and active. Take attendance and keep records up-to-date. Address camper concerns and handle grievances with care and professionalism. Enforce camp rules and regulations to keep things running smoothly. Handle discipline with fairness and inform leadership about major issues. Join in the fun: participate in games, activities, and outdoor adventures alongside the campers. Qualifications At least one year of experience leading in a summer day camp environment. High school diploma (or equivalent) is a bonus. Previous experience with planning and scheduling activities is a plus. Certifications required: CPR/AED/First Aid for infants, children, and adults.
