Assets Protection Team Leader

Compensation Starting pay per hour is $21.75 – $23.75. Full pay range is $21.75 – $37.00. Compensation is influenced by labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. For more detail, visit Responsibilities As an Assets Protection Team Leader you will: Lead a security culture, including crisis response, crowd‑management planning and safety environment. Implement daily/weekly assets protection priorities to support business goals. Respond to theft incidents, prevent future theft and resolve external theft/fraud in accordance with Target policy. Partner with store leaders to educate and support operational shortage priorities. Lead and develop a team of hourly members, including interviewing, evaluating and retaining talent. Manage staffing, schedules and budget for merchandise protection. Observe, provide feedback and hold team members accountable for guest‑experience commitments. Analyze metrics, identify trends, and implement improvements to support sales and profitability. Act as first responder for in‑store safety incidents and execute Target procedures. Maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including law enforcement. Ensure compliance with training, safety, and legal requirements. Qualifications Required: At least 18 years old and high‑school degree or equivalent. Ability to lead and hold team members accountable. Strong communication skills across multiple frequency devices. Independent and team work skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Flexible, adaptable schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak periods. Physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds. Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment. Legal ability to work in the U.S. and any required state/local licensing. Preferred: Previous retail or loss prevention experience. Experience managing a team in a security or supervisory role.
