Logistics And Inventory Management Support

Provides logistics and inventory management support for a Naval Special Warfare Group Logistics Support Unit by ensuring accurate accountability, processing, storage, issue, receipt, and movement of government property while maintaining compliance with applicable Navy and DoD regulations.

Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Issue and account for personal and operational gear.
• Maintain inventory control and replenishment.
• Process incoming material and reconcile inventory in DPAS/ELMS.
• Assemble deployment and training gear loadouts.
• Research returns, exchanges, and disposal actions.
• Transport materials using approved handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate supply documentation.
• Support customer service for supported units.

Minimum Requirements/Education

• Minimum five years of DoD warehousing/inventory experience.
• Maintain Forklift certification up to 10,000 lbs.
• Experience with DPAS, ELMS or similar systems preferred.
• Ability to obtain government vehicle/CESE authorization.
• Possess a valid state driver's license.
• Shall meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) for use in their official duties, if required. This includes all size forklift operations. NSW is not authorized to qualify and issue forklift and similar equipment licenses to contracted employees. NSW can provide local on-site training on NSW organic equipment once contractor is fully qualified and licensed from an external licensor. NSW is not liable for any expenses associated with initial certification or maintenance of licenses; costs incurred are at the expense of the contracted company.
• Be able to operate a personal computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Shall complete and maintain training and certifications requirements for network access.
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Enter data into multiple databases accurately.

• Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Naval Special Warfare, familiarity with Navy logistics systems, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
