Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: St. Louis MO

Pay : $18-28/hr pending experience

About the Position

We are looking for a  reliable and experienced Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic and repair skills and takes pride in quality workmanship.

You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, and air systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and lighting issues
• Perform engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs
• Identify mechanical problems and recommend necessary repairs
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Follow shop safety procedures and manufacturer specifications
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on heavy-duty trucks and/or trailers preferred
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Valid driver's license
• CDL and/or ASE certifications are a plus
• Must provide your own tools

Schedule

Monday–Friday:  Several schedules open

Overtime: Available as needed
