Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) is a registered healthcare professional specializing in pediatric respiratory care, located in Youngstown, Ohio. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy, including operating ventilatory equipment, administering treatments, performing diagnostic procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This position requires working night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Youngstown, Ohio
• Shift Time: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, 0 years of experience
• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, explaining treatments, operating ventilatory and other respiratory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, conducting monitoring and diagnostic tests (such as EKG, pulmonary function studies, chest x-ray reviews), assisting with procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, chest tube placement), performing tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, and emergency resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Additional duties involve proper documentation, communication with physicians, equipment maintenance and monitoring, and accurate charging records.
