Senior Outbound Product Manager About The Opportunity The Wind River Cloud Platform Product Management team is part of the Wind River Product organization. This team is responsible for our private cloud product, automation/orchestration and analytics, the fastest‑growing part of the corporation serving customers with cloud‑native intelligent systems from the far edge to full data centers. The role is critical to the success of our team as we continue to grow and require increased customer engagement to drive product adoption, create our roadmap and manage customer expectations. Interface & Collaboration The role reports directly to the Vice President of Product Management for the Wind River Cloud Platform product team. Success requires hands‑on leadership, engaging and enrolling multiple teams across product management, engineering, pre‑sales, sales, professional services, marketing, partners, and customers to win new customers in this fast‑paced environment. Your closest collaborators will be your product management teammates and the global sales team. This is a customer‑facing role to evangelize the Wind River Cloud Platform, gather market requirements, create value propositions, respond to RFPs, present roadmaps, assess revenue opportunities, and manage customer escalations. In Your Daily Job You Will Engage customers & sales teams for RFP response strategy, product/portfolio updates, roadmap communication, price setting, and escalations. Work closely with product line managers and global sales to align roadmaps and feature requirements to market demand. Discover and gather customer requirements. Drive customer progress of product adoption and sales plans. Conduct business development, market assessment, ideation, and adoption. Communicate formal roadmaps to global sales teams and customers. Create product collateral, including product descriptions, presentations for CXO and deep dives, and special customer‑requested presentations. Assess private cloud business sales on a customer‑by‑customer basis, setting revenue targets and tracking progress against the annual plan. Evangelize Wind River’s competitive advantage over competitors. Create value propositions for specific customer cases. Engage professional services teams to develop additional opportunities. Leverage Edge AI capabilities to inform product messaging, identify new use cases, and highlight competitive advantages in real‑time, on‑device intelligence. Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to translate AI and Edge AI capabilities into market‑facing benefits aligned with customer needs and strategic goals. About You 10+ years of experience in enterprise verticals driving complex technical software customer engagement. Knowledge of US Government process, requirements and certifications for software compliance (STIG/SRG, FedRamp, FIP, etc.) and ATO. Experience in enterprise IT product procurement and business models. Experience with AI/ML technologies, preferably Edge AI, IoT, or embedded systems. Technical experience with software products and platforms for enterprise private cloud use, including Kubernetes, OpenStack, storage and security. Business development experience is highly desirable. Both business and technical acumen to engage stakeholders from working level up to CXO. Deep understanding of customer business issues, challenges, strategic direction, and partner ecosystem. Strong “make things happen” attitude and excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. BA/BS required in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree; MS/MBA preferred. Demonstrated credibility with customers, partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders. Must reside in the locations listed and be able to work on site. Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
