Cardiovascular Technologist | Full Time | Mon-Fri 6:30AM -5PM | Cardiac CathLab| Gainesville

UF Health is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab in Gainesville as a full-time team member, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, you will be an integral part of a leading academic health center focused on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care, advancing clinical research, and supporting education in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The Cardiovascular Technologist will support interventional cardiologists and the cath lab team in the safe and efficient delivery of invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures. You will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral vascular procedures, and related exams by preparing procedure rooms, setting up and operating imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and ensuring adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards. During procedures, you will monitor and document hemodynamic parameters, assist with contrast injections and device deployment within your scope of practice, and anticipate the needs of the physician and nursing staff to promote optimal patient outcomes.

This position requires strong technical and clinical skills, including the ability to operate fluoroscopy and imaging systems, understand cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, interpret basic EKG and rhythm changes, and respond promptly to emergent situations. You will participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care, including patient preparation, verification of consent, positioning, continuous monitoring of vital signs, and supporting recovery and transfer as appropriate. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and effective communication with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team are essential.
