Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Trauma – Georgia

Schedule: Assigned shifts based on facility needs; no block scheduling available. 5:1 patient ratio with nursing support staff, phlebotomists, and unit secretary support during night shifts.

Highlights:

• High-acuity medical-surgical trauma unit specializing in surgical patients, trauma cases including gunshot wounds, and patients with spinal cord injuries (quadriplegia and paraplegia)
• Collaborative team environment with nursing support technicians, phlebotomists on-site, and unit secretary coverage at night
• EPIC electronic medical record system in use
• Structured handoff process from ED nurses and admitting unit to ensure continuity of care
• Fast-paced, high-impact environment ideal for experienced trauma and surgical nurses
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required

Requirements:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical trauma or related specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts; no requests for time off (RTO) during contract period
