Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and the facility. This role ensures that all production equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and can troubleshoot and repair equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and structural repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs and inspections.
• Assist in planning and implementing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to quickly resolve equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Recommend improvements or upgrades to equipment and building systems.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred.
• Proven experience in machinery maintenance, building maintenance, and electrical work (license not required, hands-on experience sufficient).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime if needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Ability to work in cold/freezer environments for extended periods.
• Standing, walking, and bending as part of daily duties.
