Analytics Manager

Our client is a well-established global consumer brand experiencing significant growth and investing in the expansion of its commercial analytics team. They are hiring a Category Insights & Analytics Manager to lead a team of analysts while elevating the organization's category management and insights capabilities. This newly created leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming data into compelling business recommendations that influence commercial strategy, strengthen customer partnerships, and drive category growth. The Role The Category Insights & Analytics Manager will lead a team of analysts responsible for delivering category, shopper, consumer, and sales insights that support strategic decision making across Sales and Marketing. This individual will move beyond reporting by translating complex data into actionable recommendations that create value for both the business and its retail partners. Key Responsibilities Category Leadership Develop category reviews and strategic business recommendations that drive category growth. Analyze category trends, shopper behavior, competitive dynamics, and marketplace opportunities. Identify assortment, distribution, and whitespace opportunities. Insights & Analytics Transform consumer, shopper, retailer, syndicated, and sales data into actionable business insights. Develop dashboards and scorecards to monitor category and brand performance. Evaluate pricing, promotional effectiveness, assortment optimization, and overall business performance. Support annual planning and customer business reviews through data-driven recommendations. Partner closely with Sales to develop customer presentations and joint business planning materials. Support line reviews, assortment decisions, and category growth initiatives. Build compelling, data-driven selling stories for customer meetings. Identify customer opportunities and business risks through ongoing analysis. Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a team of analytics professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence. Evaluate new tools and data platforms to improve team capabilities and efficiency. Establish best practices for reporting, insights generation, and business recommendations. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Consumer Insights, Sales Analytics, Commercial Analytics, or a related CPG function. Previous experience leading and developing analysts or insights professionals. Strong experience with syndicated data platforms such as Circana (IRI), NielsenIQ, Numerator, or similar tools. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience translating complex data into actionable business recommendations. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Experience partnering with Sales and presenting insights to senior leadership and/or major retail customers.
