General Job Duties For All Store Team Members Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential Functions / Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Requires motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Physical Requirements Standing – Most tasks are from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum. Height of work surfaces is 36‑42 inches. Walking – Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table. Lifting – Bulk product deliveries are unloaded by hand truck. Items may weigh up to 50 pounds and dimensions up to 3′ × 1.5′. Cases are lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high. Carrying – Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz) are carried from workstation to storage. Occasionally pizza sauce weighing 30 lb is carried to front of store. Pushing – Move trays on dollies; a stack requires up to 7.5 pounds of force. Climbing – Infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladders to change signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance. Forward bending – Necessary at the pizza assembly station and front counter; forward bending occurs for 30‑45 seconds continuously throughout the day. Crouching/Squatting – Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching – Continuous; up, down, forward. Workers reach above 72 inches to operate ovens or change price signs. Hand Tasks – Continuous use; requires eye‑hand coordination, forearm and wrist force, and manipulation of pizza peel, cutter, and boxes.
