About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Registered Nurse experience, with recent inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months. License: Active Vermont RN license required. Certifications: American Health Association BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Must have recent general adult experience in the last 3 months. - Must have inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months (long-term care experience will not be accepted). - Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts. - Psych/Behavioral Health experience and age groups must be listed on the resume. - Psych skills checklist from within the last year required. - 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment required. - Driver's license or address must be included in the submission. Description: The position requires working with a multidisciplinary team. This team identifies individual and group needs and interventions. The nursing process will be utilized to meet the complex nursing care needs of patients. There will be clinical supervision of mental health workers to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care. The treatment approach focuses on helping patients develop and maintain sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. The team specializes in providing high-quality interventions, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and education to ensure successful recovery.
