About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Rotating (Evening/Night) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department specialty is required. License: Registered Nurse license is required. Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS are required. TNCC is preferred. Must-Have: Strong Emergency Room experience is required. Travel experience in the Emergency Department is required. Epic experience is required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. The facility has a total of 44 beds in the Emergency Department. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:4 per shift. The average daily census in the Emergency Department ranges from 190-200 patients. Patients are vocal about their care and expect high standards. Critical thinking and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment are essential. The patient population includes individuals with STEMI, stroke, syncope, weakness, trauma, and falls. There is a high elderly population among the patients. Respiratory support is available 24/7, and anesthesia support is also available around the clock. The unit has advanced practice providers, and there is collaboration with transporters outside of the nursing staff. Nursing staff perform necessary procedures, such as drawing blood when placing IV lines. Good teamwork and a positive attitude are required for all staff. This is an opportunity for nurses who are passionate about patient experience and nursing excellence. Nurses will be expected to triage ambulance patients at the bedside during busy times.
