Position Title Distribution Associate Location Reno, Nevada Reports to Distribution Supervisor Description The Distribution Associate is responsible for performing core functions in the distribution center on a rotating basis, including picking, packing, building orders for shipment, shipping, value added services, returns, and supporting other areas as needed. The role requires maintaining a professional, productive, clean, and safe work environment and following all safety procedures. Essential Duties Pick and pack orders according to pick tickets and special instructions. Build large freight orders onto pallets within customer and freight forwarder height restrictions, verifying completeness and accuracy before shipping. Ship orders following pick ticket instructions, generating shipping labels, carton content labels, and packing lists, and applying or inserting them consistently. Follow customer vendor guide for picking, packing, and shipping instructions. Assist in loading outbound trucks as needed. Assist with dock operations as directed. Provide value‑added services such as hangers, price tags, etc. Stock replenishment when directed by supervisors. Help other departments as needed and directed by supervisor. Maintain professional attitude, productivity standards, and a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and report any infractions. Participate in annual physical inventory counts. Conduct housekeeping tasks assigned by Shipping Manager or supervisors. Work effectively in a team environment. Adapt to a changing work environment. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in distribution functions preferred but not required. Basic problem‑solving and organizational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. PC skills. Demonstrated willingness to work in any distribution center department as necessary. Commitment to a positive work environment through cooperative and professional interactions with co‑workers, customers, and vendors. Physical and Mental Functioning Requirements Stand, stoop, reach with hands, walk, talk/hear, climb, lift/carry up to 10 lbs frequently. Lift/carry up to 20 lbs, 50 lbs, 75 lbs, and 100 lbs as needed. Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Requirements for vision and color vision.
