Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of communication abilities across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized tools and careful observation.
• Create individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop an integrated approach to patient care.
• Prioritize patient and family education to promote ongoing progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, reinforcing holistic care throughout the recovery journey.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to lifelong learning, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
