At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference.Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.Position Summary:The Manufacturing Engineering Technician provides expertise in setting-up and conducting product inspections, product evaluation, creating/updating quality process documentation, and operations support. Ensures high quality processes for Meggitt products/components.Responsibilities:Interpret drawings, procedures and process documents to support Operations with their proceduresSupport Manufacturing Engineering department in execution of development and product evaluation activitiesCreates product test plans, procedures and reports with guidanceAssists with process validation test programs to ensure products/systems meet design specsActs as a resource for operations to explain drawing and process requirementsSupport equipment maintenance team with advanced diagnostics of our equipmentPerforms analysis and troubleshooting to determine root causes of failure of product and equipmentSelect and procure tooling and equipment using purchase requisitions and approval for expenditure processOther responsibilities as assignedConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significanceAssists with welding and brazing development and qualificationRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
